I am an architect and an artist, I come from generations of great cooks, and when I cook in my kitchen overlooking the monuments I always do it with love, using only genuine products of excellent quality. In our family there is the right cultural contrast and contamination: my husband is a born and bred Florentine and a very good cook, I’m a mix of both Italian and international cultures and traditions (Ligurian, Tuscan, French, Algerian and North African), our son was born in Ethiopia.
I like to change, to experiment, to contaminate keeping traditions alive with the knowledge and flavors of the past. For me it is important to hand down to my three children the secrets of culinary art, which is an heritage to appraise: this is exactly what I want to do with my guests. I like to meet new people, welcome them in my house a few steps away from the Duomo, put them at ease and chat with them while drinking a glass of good wine. My motto is “It is in the rituals of the table that lies the culture of a people.”
